What's the difference between sworn, asseverata and certified translations?
Sworn and 'asseverata' are the same: the translator swears before the clerk that the translation is faithful to the original, which gives it legal value. A merely certified translation is a simple statement of accuracy, without an oath.
Are your translations valid throughout Italy?
Yes, a sworn translation is recognised across the whole country, regardless of the Court where it is sworn.
How much does a sworn translation cost?
It depends on length, language and urgency, plus stamp duty unless exempt. See the Pricing page and request a free quote.
When is the translation exempt from stamp duty?
Some uses are exempt by law (school enrolment, separation and divorce, adoptions, some public-body procedures). Exemption depends on the use and the Court.
Do I also need legalization or apostille?
Only if the document must be valid abroad. See Legalization and apostille.
How soon is it ready?

Do I have to come in person?
